Weddings, Honeymoon's and Anniversaries

Everyone seeks that special setting to spend your wedding day. Getting married aboard a cruise ship provides one of the most idyllic settings in the world. If you are getting married in the UK, a cruise could be the ideal way to celebrate a honeymoon or wedding anniversary.

A cruise has everything for your special day: a romantic setting, excellent cuisine, five-star service and superb entertainment. You could make it a private celebration, or enjoy your time with the other passengers, but with so many ships you will always have an option.

Weddings At Sea

You can now get married onboard certain ships, but maritime law requires the ship to be either in port, or less than three miles from land for the marriage to be legal. You can often use the services of a dedicated wedding organiser to take care of arrangements, help is always at hand to help you with the big day.

There are two ways a ceremony can be conducted, either onboard in the cruise line chapel or alternatively, the cruise line can arrange the wedding in one of the ports it visits. For the already happily married, you may also be able to arrange a ‘renewal of vows’ service during the cruise and this ceremony can be conducted by the ship’s captain.
