First Time Cruising
Here are a selection of the most frequently asked questions by customers when looking at selecting a cruise holiday for the first time.
Isn't a cruise holiday expensive?
Cruising offers fantastic value for money. When working out the price of your cruise holiday you should consider that your cruise holiday price includes all of your accommodation, a great choice of meals and all of your daytime activities and evening entertainment. Don't forget we often have many last minute discounted cruise bargains at fantastic prices.
When’s the best time to take a cruise holiday?
Cruise holidays operate all year round, and most 'sail with the weather'. Throughout the Summer months many cruise lines offer European cruises and Mediterranean cruises, whilst in the winter most choose to cruise the Caribbean, Canaries or Egypt.
Wont I get travel-sick?
Most cruise ships now feature modern stabiliser systems and generally cruise around in calm waters, so sea sickness is rare. If in doubt take a small pack of travel sickness tablets avialable at your local chemist.
What are cruise ship cabins like?
Cruise cabins have en-suite bathrooms (bath and/or shower), television, telephones, hairdryers and many have sea views or even a balcony. Higher grade cabins are usually more spacious and often have lounge areas to sit and relax in, which helps you enjoy the experience of a luxury cruise holiday.
Will I have anything to do onboard?
Cruise ships are geared towards entertaining you, so that you will never be bored. Often you stop at a different destination each day and are free to explore different cities, beaches and cultures that you could never exprience on a standar holiday. Most have a diverse range of activities including sports facilities, children’s activity programmes, internet cafes, lectures, quizzes, competitions, bars, restaurants, cinemas, discos, dancing and shows, but if you fancy, just relax, grab a cold drink and a sunbed and just enjoy your new surroundings.
Isn't cruising for older people ?
Cruise holidays are offer something for everyone and are no longer the choice of a small select group of people. Different cruise ships appeal to different ages and people. Ask our staff help you select the right cruise holiday for you.
