There are many different types of ship. When looking for a family cruise, you must decide if you would like an older more traditional style cruise or a more modern ‘floating resort’.

For the greatest amount of children's facilities, the new bigger cruise ships are hard to match when you are looking to keep the children occupied. If you choose to cruise with children, always check that that all facilities are available. Some ships only offer children's activities during school holidays.
